I figured everyone likes to see a little nudity, so here is a picture of my naked Duck. ha ha....Actually, this is my 2002 Ducati 748 the way it looks when switching back-and-forth between "street trim" and "race trim". It is the color that all 748's should be...."fly yellow". The only mentionable mod to the bike is the Two Brothers Racing slip-on exhaust. This is actually the bike I wanted before I ever bought my first Ducati in 2000, which was a 1999 Supersport 750F in yellow that totaled in 2000. To see pictures and read about that bike and the accident, go here: Dead Duck. I bought the 748 in April of 2003, but haven't ridden it much. It had been off the road from May of 2004 to May of 2005, mainly because I didn't want to pay to keep it on the road, and Vicki was going with me every time I went riding. We were taking the ST2 or the Harley because this is a single seat bike ("monoposto"). Since getting it on the road, again, it's been off the road for another half a year for preventative maintenance and a few other items. Despite all the down-time, I've managed to log about 15k miles on it by the end of 2007.
I've thoroughly enjoyed this bike, as it has improved my riding a lot. I was going to take a superbike school and do a few trackdays, but with a three-year old and Vicki wanting to do long weekend bike rides, trackdays are probably not going to happen any time soon. Fortunately, I have done a couple of trackdays before Audrey got here at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC. My first trackday resulted in me doing a low-side on brand-new tires that tore up a few parts, but it wasn't too difficult to repair myself.
